Google has been attempting to muscle their way into the social networking space, but Facebook is not letting them go so easily. A mere two days after Google announced Friend Connect, Facebook started blocking traffic from the service.

According to Facebook, Google is violating terms of their data sharing program. Facebook says there are a number of privacy concerns that have to be ironed out.

A blog post by Charlie Cheever of Facebook said: “‘Google’ redistributes user information from Facebook to other developers without users’ knowledge, which doesn’t respect the privacy standards our users have come to expect.”

Google has run into these very issues before. What it will take to settle the issue between the two companies remains to be seen.
